DIY Stovetop Scent

Hello Everyone!

I can’t believe it’s already October! Fall is here, & with chilly weather to match. This time of year always makes me crave cozy sweaters & blankets accompanied by a delicious fragrance in the home. Whether you love to make your favorite fall treat (like these pumpkin pancakes I made last year), or you are a lover of candles like I am, fall fragrances are a must right about now.

Today, I made my favorite annual stovetop scent for the first time this season. This little ritual is the perfect way to really kick-off such a dreamy time of year. I love how the fragrance from this simple recipe fills my entire home, making it feel fresh & warm. I got this recipe from a friend of mine, & today I’m excited to share it with you:

Stovetop Scent

2 cups of water

1/2 an orange

1/2 a lemon or lime

A handful of cloves

A cinnamon stick or two

A bay leaf

Put all the ingredients in a pot & let it simmer!

It’s as easy as that!

If you plan on trying this out at home, head on over to my Instagram, & in the comments section for the above picture, leave me some lemon & orange emojis! 🙂

Let me know if you guys have any other stovetop scents that you make at home! This one is definitely my favorite, but I’d love to try more!

Hope you have a lovely day! xx
