Post-Christmas Winter Styling
Hello lovelies, & welcome to 2019! Up until now, my winter wardrobe has been centered around the holidays & being very festive. Now, it’s still so cold outside, but I’m ready to move on from my holiday looks to a more feminine winter wardrobe for everyday wear. Even though it’s cold, I still prefer to wear dresses on most days, so my knee high boots are getting quite a lot of wear for the extra warmth. Faux fur is also a must for my stylish winter wardrobe. It’s the perfect way to be cozy & chic at the same time. While I do love these styling elements, my favorite rule for layering & choosing my ensemble this winter is to stick to 2 colors only.

The 2 Color Rule
This outfit features shades of pink & brown. Sticking to two colors or shades of those two colors is a classic & easy way to put together a great & stylish winter look. Remember to think about your shoes & accessories when applying this rule. Scarves, hats, sunglasses, earrings, gloves, etc. The possibilities are endless! Get creative with the colors you want to mix. Combos I’m loving include black & navy, pink & purple, blue & white, & mint & blush. This rule is perfect for trying out new color combinations. I have a whole board on my Pinterest to which I pin all of my color mixing inspiration to. Follow me on Pinterest here.
