Vintage Floral Pieces Under $75

Vintage Floral Pieces Under $75

How Adorable?!

Totally obsessing over these gorgeous vintage floral prints. Some of these might give you some grandma vibes but in the very best way! Like, I wanna be that kind of grandma! But in all honesty, prints similar to these can be found in many current designer collections. All of these are under $75, but most of them are around the $20 mark! I love finding these affordable gems. It’s so hard to choose which ones to get because they are all so perfect! (This dress I already own & it’s even better in person!) Happy shopping!

It’s Party Time!

This time of year brings holiday parties & gatherings just about every weekend. I always like to have plenty of dress options available to choose from so I don’t have to worry when something comes up out of the blue. This gorgeous holiday red dress is my favorite dress I will be wearing this season. It’s feminine, chic, so flattering, & perfectly festive. I love that the bow can be worn in the front, in the back, on the side, or around your neck depending on your own personal style. What a fun way to customize your look.

Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite holiday dresses at every price point. A good fashion statement does not have to break the bank. Find a look that you love at a price you’re comfortable spending. I’m also adding some of my favorite party accessories to the bottom of this post, so don’t forget to check them out!

R o c k s t a r s

My bridesmaids were literally rockstars. I was so thankful that everyone got to be there in Maine with me the entire week leading up to the wedding. They were such lifesavers. From helping with decorations to making me laugh & keeping me calm, I don’t know if I could have done it without these six ladies.

My Squad

Grace (MOH) – sister

Melissa (MOH) – friend & fellow dancer

Abby – my new sister-in-law

Caroline – sister

Ella – sister

Eri – friend & fellow dancer

I knew from the very beginning that I wanted my bridesmaids to be in unique yet cohesive dresses. When I started my search on BHLDN immediately after finding my dress, I took screenshots of all of my favorites. I wanted to make sure that the textures of each dress were different. All of the dresses I chose were in the blush, gold, rose gold, & nude range which kept a cohesive theme throughout. It was also important to me that the level of sparkle was different for each dress. These factors were key, in my opinion, to making the mix & match style work.

In my head, I had already imagined each of my ladies in specific styles that I thought would suit them best, but I wanted them to love their dress, so I sent them all of the choices & you’ll never believe what happened. They all chose the dresses I had imagined them in! It was a wedding miracle.

Being the control freak that I am, I arranged for my bridesmaids along with both of the mothers to have a dress rehearsal two days before the wedding. This was not only for me to be able to finally see all of the dresses together, but also so that they could ask me any questions they wanted to about hair & makeup at that time rather than on the day of the wedding. Since we were all going to be doing our own hair & makeup on the day, I first demonstrated on my sister, Caroline, the style of eye look I was looking for. They didn’t have to all be the same, but I wanted them to see the shapes & colors I had in mind. Then everyone went to work fixing their hair & helping each other with their makeup. Maybe this seems like a bit much, but I’m so glad we actually did this. I’m confident it made getting ready on the day much smoother.

A New Approach To Layering

Layering is no stranger to fall fashion, but seeing as though I’m currently paying off a wedding, I’m trying to be more creative with items I already have in my wardrobe instead of buying new things. One day recently, my creativity was instantly sparked with this idea of layering dresses. I immediately rummaged through my closets & started layering literally all of my dresses together in different combinations until I found at least 6 completely new outfits all centered around layering my dresses. It’s my new obsession.

The outfit featured in this post consists of a pink satin H&M midi dress with a floral midi Zara wrap dress over top. The way that this wrap dress was designed works so well for this look because the front of the wrap dress comes together with small buttons on each side. Once unbuttoned, it basically acts as a gorgeous kimono that adds some major pizzazz to this look.

Other looks I’ve found in my wardrobe include:

An embroidered balloon sleeved dress under a sleeveless turtleneck midi dress. (seen here)

&

A long sleeved floral dress with tie sleeves & a high neck, underneath my classic navy sleeveless velvet dress. (wardrobe staple! seen here)

&

A fall toned (emerald in my case) long sleeved, high neck mini dress under a neutral toned button front, sleeveless dress. (seen here)

The Best Holiday Dresses

Holiday Dresses

Hello Everyone!

It’s about that time!

This Blogmas post is all about finding the perfect holiday dress for your upcoming parties & events! Whether it’s a work event, or a holiday date night, finding the right look can help you feel extra confident & festive. As you know, I am a firm believer that pink is a totally holiday color, but a little red dress, a dark green dress, or anything that sparkles & shines is sure to make a statement at your next Christmas party. I’ll show you two of my favorites in my collection & also roundup the best of the best holiday dresses out there right now.

Holiday Dresses

The first dress is this amazing dark green velvet pleated midi dress. This was one of those, you see it & buy it immediately kind of dresses. Once it arrived, & I tried it on, I instantly felt all the old Hollywood glamour vibes & quickly paired it with my art deco t-strapped heels & a bright red lip. My long faux fur stole seemed like the perfect addition to this look.

Velvet dresses are a lovely choice for your next holiday event. This time of year is my favorite time to wear this luxurious fabric. It catches light so well & brings extra warmth which is much appreciated on cold winter nights. I am loving this red velvet wrap dress at the moment, as well as this pink option. *swoon*

Holiday Dresses

Then there’s my very special red dress. I actually bought this dress in Paris this past summer, & it’s one of my most beloved & sentimental pieces in my wardrobe. The bows on the straps are such a sweet touch to this already gorgeous red dress. My fuzzy coat (last seen here) just fits with this dress & brings all the warmth necessary. I just picture it with a bold red lip & a champagne gold sparkly eye. Can’t you just see it?!

Bows are such a fun touch to your holiday look. Try one with a bow back like this one, or this one with a sparkly bow right on the front. It’s the perfect feminine touch.

The Long Sleeved Dress

Hello Everyone!

I’m totally obsessed with sleeved dresses for fall! They are all that I am wanting to wear! Whether they are in the form of a wrap dress, a sweater dress, a floral dress, or a dress with ruffled sleeves, they can all be found at the top of my shopping list this season. Most of the time, they can be dressed down with a pair of ballerinas, dressed up with a pair of heels, or on cooler days, paired with a good pair of ankle boots.

Having a few staple accessories really help pull a look together. My favorites include a wool beret, a blanket scarf, a fall toned bag, & a faux fur collar. After picking out your dress, leave a little bit of time to play around with your accessories so you can walk out of the house feeling confident & put together.
