It’s Party Time!

This time of year brings holiday parties & gatherings just about every weekend. I always like to have plenty of dress options available to choose from so I don’t have to worry when something comes up out of the blue. This gorgeous holiday red dress is my favorite dress I will be wearing this season. It’s feminine, chic, so flattering, & perfectly festive. I love that the bow can be worn in the front, in the back, on the side, or around your neck depending on your own personal style. What a fun way to customize your look.

Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite holiday dresses at every price point. A good fashion statement does not have to break the bank. Find a look that you love at a price you’re comfortable spending. I’m also adding some of my favorite party accessories to the bottom of this post, so don’t forget to check them out!

Let’s Get Festive!

The weather is definitely starting to get cooler here in Richmond. I had my first hot chocolate last week while picking out our Christmas tree & haven’t stopped drinking them since. It was on that same cold day last week when I told Ben that the first really cold day of the season hits me hard. It’s like I forget how the bitter cold feels every year. But how could I forget?!

Even though it’s getting colder & colder everyday, this season brings about the most parties & events. Which means we need party outfits that will help you stay warm(er) in the cold. This outfit is very festive with a bit of shine & a bow, but it’s pink from head to toe. I love wearing pink for the holidays. It’s a great way to take a break from the red & green all around. Let’s get into all the festive bows & velvet for this holiday season.

More Bows Please

Ever since I was a child, I have loved bows. I used to wear bows in my hair every single day. The bigger the better. Don’t get me wrong, I still love bows in my hair, but now I’ve fallen in love with wearing bows on my clothes, not just in my hair. They are the perfect feminine touch to any outfit.

Bows feel especially festive this time of year. Maybe it’s from seeing all of the presents wrapped up in bows, I don’t know. All I know is my love for bows is through the roof this time of year. Because of this, when I saw this dainty bow silk cami, I knew I would wear it time & time again. I also have recently purchased this amazing pair of bow earrings that I’m literally obsessed with. You just can’t go wrong with a good bow.

Pile On The Velvet

Isn’t velvet just the dreamiest material? It just feels so good! Not only does it feel good, It does a great job of keeping you warm, too. This is precisely why this pink velvet pleated midi skirt is just perfect for the holiday season. It’s so cozy & flattering to wear while also looking fancy & festive. I also paired this look with a pair of pink velvet heels, although I would highly recommend bringing a pair of fuzzy slippers in the car to wear before & after the event.

Counting My Blessings

For close to 10 years now, the idea of counting my blessings has been a very tangible concept for me. The ritual of writing down blessing by blessing & saying thanks for even the smallest of things is a process near & dear to my heart. Even though it’s a ritual I truly love, it’s something that quickly becomes forgotten during the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Then, my husband made a speech at our wedding (see it here) in which he mentioned that in that moment, on our wedding day, he found himself literally counting his blessings. Hearing him say that really sparked in me a desire to be better about making this small ritual of gratitude each day more of a priority. I’ve kept the same gratitude journal for the past 8 years & I’ve decided to read through it again & make more of an effort to keep it up.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope you all are having a lovely thanksgiving & are spending some great time with loved ones. Seeing as though this holiday season can be quite crazy & a bit “go, go, go”, I challenge you to remember to actively take the time to be thankful for the little things around you. Be beauty seekers. If you feel like you need a bit more inspiration on this topic of gratitude & beauty seeking, I highly recommend you read the book, One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. I would even say it’s my very favorite book! A perfect easy read for this holiday season.

Holiday Pajama Sets

Holiday Pajama Sets

Hello Everyone!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is wearing holiday pajama sets. Every year, my siblings & I get to open one present on Christmas Eve from my grandma, & it’s always a fun & festive pajama set. It’s a sweet tradition that I look forward to every year. This year though, I just couldn’t wait until Christmas Eve! Blogmas is here & it’s putting me in quite the Christmas spirit, so I went ahead & purchased 2 new sets for the holiday season.

The 2 sets I ended up purchasing are both from Target. My first pair is a classic red Christmas plaid with a lovely black edging detail. One thing I love about this set is that I can actually sleep in it! I tend to overheat at night if I have long sleeves & pants on, but this are just light enough, that I sleep through the night with easy. Don’t get turned off by how light they are though. They are perfect to lounge in, and are cozy to cuddle in. These are my idillic holiday pajamas, & the best part about them is they are on sale for $15 total! Jump on this deal!

My second pair is more of a long johns style (do you say long johns or thermal underwear?). I love how it has a classic white background with whimsical poinsettias & holly layered top. This set is oh so cozy while still being clean, bright, & festive. My favorite way to lounge in these pajamas is with my favorite red plaid fuzzy robe & my Boden blue bow slippers (similar here). These items are so affordable with the holiday pajama set being under $20 & the robe being under $35!

Do you love holiday pajama sets as much as I do? Will any of these be making their way into your collection? xx
