For the past week, this sale has only been open to Nordstrom card holders, but now it’s finally open to everyone! Things in the sale always sell out SO fast, but if there is an item you particularly love, keep an eye on it because the frequently restock well loved items in the sale.
Yesterday, I went in my local Nordstrom & did a dressing room try on for you guys. Sometimes, it’s just better seeing the items on someone you know rather than on a model or on a rack. I tried on quite a few pieces & linked other items within the sale that I would style each piece with. Most of these items are for the upcoming fall season. It’s coming up quick (even though it’s still super hot!), so now is the perfect time to shop those essential items your wardrobe really needs. Towards the bottom, I also shared some beauty & home favorites that are included in the sale as well!
This peachy-pink sweater is oh-so-soft! I love the fit as well. It’s not too tight but not oversized either. For the skirt, I love a good plaid print in the fall. Such a feminine cut, perfect for work. This can be dressed up with heels, but I’m really feeling these sweet, scalloped flats.
I was not expecting to fall so hard for this dress! It’s stretchy, but firm so it holds everything in. The material is thick, almost sweater-like, perfect to keep you warm on chilly nights. Plus, the skirt is SO flattering. You could even wear this into the winter with this emerald faux fur jacket & these gorgeous lace heels.
The cutest & softest roll neck sweater I’ve tried on in a while. Once again, the colors are just perfection & the length pairs great with skinny jeans. Throw a good trench coat over your shoulders & you’re good to go.
I’ll admit, pullovers like this are not the most fun thing to purchase, but I’m always glad I have them. This one has nice snap details & I love the unique color. Something like this is great to have to go on walks outside, to wear on holiday with family, & to wear to fall bonfires. Pair this with skinny jeans or leggings & a pair of cute Hunter boots.
I know, I know…this is not my typical dress or skirt or even trouser look, but I’ve fallen hard for this pair of super affordable denim culottes. They are basically the flowing midi skirt version of jeans. If you, like me, are a lover of feminine fashion & anything with a bit of drama, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with these too. Especially after reading my full review of the jeans of the season, below…
You may think this shape would be a bit unflattering, but let me tell exactly why that’s not true. First of all, these pants are very high waisted. This is one of the very best features about these pants in my opinion because it cinches you in at the most ideal place to create that figure flattering silhouette. These jeans will go perfectly with my spring/summer shirts that are a bit more cropped as well as more flowy & billowing tops that I can wear tucked in. Then the cropped wide leg makes your ankles look skinny & then draws your focus back up to that cinched in waist line.
But Wait, There’s More
You guys, these pants are such a steal! At only $30, your spring wardrobe needs a pair. (Or if you’re like me, you might need two!) They’re flattering, affordable, & oh-so comfortable. I would even travel in them, they’re so comfortable. With so many brands out there coming out with their own version of these pants, I had to let you all know that these are the very best.
I always get so excited when I start to see the first signs of fall. The leaves are finally starting to change & the air is crisp & my outfits are beginning to add layer after layer of color & warmth. I can also tell that it’s officially fall when all I want to listen to is Taylor Swift’s Red album. That album is so nostalgic to me & always brings me back to fall in the City. I personally think that her song, All Too Well, is the best song she has ever written. Goosebumps every time. But back to fall, Ben & I were so excited to finally dive into full fall mode, that we decided to make a day out of it & road trip to the Ashland Berry Farm.
Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins
On our drive out to the farm, we talked about our favorite things we each love about fall. For me, I love the warm & spicy scents & flavors, but it’s mostly about the fashion. I love layering & mixing in my fall accessories like boots, berets, & scarves. This makes an outfit so much more rich & put together in my opinion. Of course, I totally jump on the pumpkin band wagon as well! I’m always down for a good ole pumpkin latte or pumpkin bread & if you follow my Instagram stories, you’ll know that Ben & I have been doing at home Sunday brunch which has recently included things like pumpkin pancakes & Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Rolls. They are amazing!
Ben talked about how he loves the cool air of fall. He is just warm by nature & was born & raised in Maine, so cold days are his jam. Another big part of fall for him is football season seeing as though he is a big Patriot’s fan. I’ve grown to enjoy watching the games too, although I must admit that it’s usually half watching & half online shopping…:) Ben also loves a good pumpkin latte but he likes them iced. In fact, on our first date, Ben brought pumpkin lattes for the both of us to have before seeing an exhibit at a local museum. Pumpkin lattes have a special place in our hearts because they in a way take us back to that very first date.
“That’s Actually A Gourd”
When we arrived to the farm, we took a hay ride out to the pumpkin fields. We made it our mission to find the best pumpkins. Ben, of course, spotted them immediately & then also found the cutest & tiniest pumpkin I have ever seen. On our ride back to the entrance of the farm, we showed one of the workers our tiny pumpkin, to which he quickly corrected us saying, “That’s not a pumpkin, it’s actually a gourd.” Well, ok then. So we decided to name it Gordon & it sits on our coffee table & makes us smile daily. Oh, Gordon…
Once we got back, we knew we couldn’t leave without getting some apple cider & homemade donuts. It was my first cider of the season & I have been hooked on Trader Joe’s amazing cider every since. We got 6 small donuts thinking that we would take some home for later, but found ourselves loving them so much that we ate them all right then & there. They were so delicious! We already can’t wait to go back next year.

Guys, the semi-annual Sephora VIB/Beauty Insider sale is here & it starts tomorrow! YAY! (If you’re not a VIB or a Beauty Insider yet, sign up here! It’s free & easy & you can participate in the sale!) With that in mind, I thought I would share a little GRWM post highlighting some of my Sephora favorites in my spring skincare & makeup routines. This season, I’m all about healthy, glowing skin with a more minimal makeup approach.
Let me walk you through a typical morning for me…
Right When I Wake Up
First thing I do in the morning is check my phone. I know, I know, I’m not supposed to do that, but with being a professional dancer & away from my phone during most of the day, I do my blogging & social media work in the mornings & at night. I’m ok with that though because I love doing it. After that, we take our dog, Luna, on her morning walk. It’s so nice to get outside in the mornings & breathe in the fresh, crisp air, especially now that it’s getting a little bit warmer. Then, I make a pot of coffee, & my typical breakfast which is an oatmeal or nutty bread with cream cheese on top. I like to allot a good amount of time to sit, eat, & enjoy my breakfast while usually uploading a new post to the gram.
Taking A Shower
Once breakfast is finished, it’s time to get ready for my day, so I jump in the warm shower & take care of my hair & body with some really lovely products. For shampoo, I haven’t found a favorite yet, but I’m trying a few out now & I will get back to you. As for conditioner, on days when you need a little extra, the deep conditioning mask by Briogeo is just the best. My hair is loving healthier than it ever has, & I’m certain it’s because of this hair mask. They also make a spray on leave in conditioner with a similar formula that I am loving too.
My current favorite body wash (which I just repurchased during the VIB Rouge sale last weekend), is the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream Gel. It really does a good job of locking in moisture while also giving that really clean feeling. Not to mention the scent is to die for! Seriously, smell it next time you’re in Sephora, you won’t be able to leave without it.
Most mornings while in the shower, I use my Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser to cleanse my face. But if I use any other product on my face in the shower, you can bet it’s the Shiseido Ibuki Gentle Cleanser. This is one of the best facial cleansers out there. I don’t know how, but it leaves your skin literally squeaky clean without stripping away the moisture! It’s like magic! Ben even uses (& raves) this product!
On last in shower product shoutout! I have just started using the L’Occitane Cleansing & Softening Oil with Almond Oil to shave my legs with. So far, it’s been amazing! I love how smooth & soft it leaves my skin feeling & I definitely see less redness & bumps from shaving irritation. If you suffer from those same annoyances, definitely give this product a try.
Out Of The Shower
After wrapping my hair up in a towel & drying off my body, I make sure to pop in my contacts (or contact in my case, but that’s another story…) before I touch any products with my clean hands. Then I apply my favorite men’s deodorant & it’s on to skincare.
My go-to & all time favorite morning face moisturizer is the Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer. This moisturizer works wonders on my skin. I have normal/oily skin, & this product gives me maximum moisture, while providing a matte, smooth, blurred, & perfected base to apply my makeup over top.
As far as body moisturizers go, I tend to stick to my Trader Joe’s Body Cream on a daily basis. On special days however, I splurge a little & use my Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. It has that same signature scent that the body wash has (yum) & promotes firm skin. Win-win am I right?
I have four stand out products for my hair right now. First, my Drybar Prep Rally Spray primes & detangles my curly hair on days I’m going to style it. It also protects my hair from heat products which is a major plus. On those days I do plan on styling my hair, I use a generous amount of the Moroccanoil Treatment. I apply two pumps, focusing on the ends, before blowdrying my hair. This speeds up the drying process while controlling my frizz in a major way. Then once I’ve finished styling my hair, I add one more pump, again focusing on the ends, to tame any fly aways & add the finishing shine.
On days I don’t wash my hair, my very favorite dry shampoo is the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose Dry Shampoo. I’m obsessed with the way it smells & the amount of volume & life it adds to my hair. I’ve repurchased this product over & over again!
The last product I want to mention is the Ouai Wave Spray. I use this product when I want to let my hair air dry & form it’s natural curls. once my hair is at least mostly dry, I give a few sprays of this all over my hair to add a little bit of texture & definition to my curls. I also have this in a mini size which is great for testing it out, or even taking it away on holiday.
I then proceed to get dressed, which usually means trying several things on & inevitably making a mess to clean up. Then it’s time for makeup. I won’t walk you through my whole makeup routine, but I will share some stand outs I’ve been loving recently that are perfect for this spring/summer.
My first & forever love is my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. There is just nothing like this palette. I making my way through my second of these bad boys & literally loving it every single day! My favorite way to apply it is by mixing the two lighter shades & applying it all over the center of the face. It beautifully sets my under eye concealer & gives me that “glow from within” look. Another Hourglass product I’ll quickly mention is their Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light. It gives me all the bronzy, glory, goodness without looking glittery or chunky. It’s smooth & heavenly. Great for bronzing up the body too!
There are two mascaras that I have been reaching for lately: the Benefit Roller Lash & the Urban Decay Troublemaker. The Roller Lash is a cult favorite, & for good reason. My lashes look their very best right when I wear this product. I unfortunately can’t wear this everyday, because I have oily lids & this transfers on me. BUT I’ve never heard of that happening to other people with this product, so don’t let that scare you. Just like don’t let the comments scare you from the Troublemaker! They’re horrible! Idk, the formula works for me, it doesn’t transfer or clump, it gets the job done & it’s easy to take off at the end of the day! I’ll take it!
For lips, I have a splurgy love & a super affordable love. I either have been gravitating towards the YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stains or the Sephora #Lipstories Lipsticks. My favorites on the YSL front are shades 11 & 16. In fact, as of right now, I am planning on using a combination of the two on my wedding day! They feel like nothing on my lips & don’t transfer! Perfect for saying, “I do”. Now the Sephora #Lipstories range is probably the cutest thing ever! It’s so fitting that my favorite shade is a nudey-pink named, “Oui!”. Next on my list is a bright fuchsia shade called, “Pineapple Express”. The packaging is too cute with a unique, descriptive photo on each one. ($8 each & amazing formula!)

How do you plan on taking advantage of this sale? What’s on your list?
I’m back with another Wedding Wednesday post! Today I want to share with you guys what steps I’m taking to prep my hair, skin, & body for the big day. I want to look like the best version of myself on the big day, while still looking like me. You know? My goal is to feel calm & confident in my own skin, ready to marry the man of my dreams. Let’s get into the beauty prep that is going to help me do just that!
Beauty Prep From The Inside Out
You guys know if you’ve been following me for a while, that my favorite beauty guru is none other than the Glam Life Guru, Tati. I’ve trusted her beauty info for years. Seriously, she is a harsh critic & knows what’s good & what’s not better than anyone in the business, in my opinion. So when I heard she was coming out with her own beauty brand, I knew it would be amazing! Although, I was a little sad to hear that it wasn’t makeup or skincare, but a beauty supplement. I bought it anyways because I knew if she swore by it, than chances were it was going to be life changing, & let me tell you, the results are real! I have been taking this pretty pink pill, Halo Beauty, for about 3 weeks now & I can already see a difference. My skin all over my body is softer, my dark circles under my eyes are lighter, & I seem to have less fine lines around my eyes & forehead! It sounds crazy, but people are noticing! I swear it’s doing good things, so I’m going to continue taking it in preparation for my wedding day.
With my wedding day quickly approaching, I was sent this unique teeth whitening kit at just the right time! I want my teeth to look bright & white on my wedding day, especially since I’ll be wearing a white dress! (OMG I can’t wait!) The Smile Brilliant team made it so simple & easy to use. First, they sent me the box pictured above, with which I made my teeth molds. I sent those molds back to them & they made custom whitening trays that fit my teeth perfectly. The trays are soft & jelly making them very easy & comfortable to wear. My teeth do get sensitive easily, but their desensitizing gel has been a life saver. Say goodbye to painful teeth whitening!
Another reason why I love this product is that you only wear them for 45 min. to 3 hours at a time, making it a quick & easy beauty prep step with great results. With a product like this, I find that you can go as hard as you want with it. I’ve enjoyed taking my time & using it only about once a week, but I’m sure when used more often, you see compound results.
Because of this product, I know I will be able to smile proudly & confidently, knowing that my smile looks great on what will probably be the most photographed day of my life.

I’ve decided to wear my hair down for my wedding, so I wanted to take some beauty prep steps to ensure my hair looks thick & healthy. I ordered a couple of Briogeo products for the first time & I am loving them so far. Basically I bought the same product in 2 different forms, one is a leave in spray mask, & one is an in shower hair mask. Both perform beautifully & have helped my hair’s health & moisture. I used the in shower deep conditioning mask about twice a month & the spray leave in conditioner about once a week. My hair loves this stuff. Also, it smells really good which is a must! Hopefully these products will help my hair look luscious & gorgeous on my wedding day.
Another tip I have been trying recently has been massaging my moisturizer into my face everyday. Instead of just rubbing it in & letting it just sit there, I’ve been trying to massage & rub it into my skin. This helps the product sink into the skin faster, as well as help blood flow & circulation in the face. I believe this along with my Halo Beauty supplements have significantly helped the look & feel of the skin on my face.
Exercise & Water
Being a professional dancer, exercise is a part of my everyday life. But from here until my wedding day, I will have a few weeks here & there where I will not be dancing. During those off weeks, it will be important to me to keep my body in shape for the big day. I’m thinking about doing a post on my non-ballet workout routine…would you guys like to see that? Leave a comment below if you’re interested in that!
Of course, water is crucial to seeing results in all of these areas mentioned above. Nothing new here, just a reminder to drink your water! Luckily Ben is really good about helping me remember to do this on a daily basis.
